Munich, Germany, February 27, 2013 – MC Services AG, an international Investor Relations and Public Relations consultancy, today announced the appointment of Andreas Burckhardt as Executive Director Corporate Broking, effective as of April 1, 2013. The appointment expands MC Services’ Investor Relations offering to now include international investor access, financial transactions and investor roadshow management. MC Services is building this platform to support clients to meet the changing environment in the capital markets and the growing need for greater access to local and international healthcare investors.

Andreas Burckhardt has over 20 years experience as an investment specialist and analyst and is one of Europe’s leading sector experts for life sciences. In his position as Executive Director, Life Sciences Sector Sales at WestLB, he successfully executed more than 55 international transactions, in both primary and secondary market offerings and private placements, leading to proceeds raised in excess of €500 million over the last six years. Andreas routinely achieved over 20 corporate road shows a year at international financial hubs for his clients. Furthermore, he regularly scored top ratings in investor surveys. In his position as life sciences specialist at WestLB, Andreas created and managed the launch of the first independent index for the European biotech industry “WestLB EU-Biotech Index Top20”.

Before joining WestLB, now Portigon Financial Services, Andreas worked as analyst and Co-Head of Investment Research & Marketing at Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank in Düsseldorf. Over the years Andreas has built a comprehensive, high-profile network of international investors and sector experts.

On September 28, 2012 MC Services and KMS TEAM hosted their seminar on Financial Communications at the offices of KMS TEAM in Munich. In a one-day seminar with Prof Jörg Baetge and other renowned financial and communications experts, we again introduced relevant trends and innovations on annual reports and discussed the challenges of Financial Communications with our participants.

03 February 2012, Berlin, The German Science Day, a media event to raise awareness for the German research in the field of oncology, took place on 02 February 2012 in Berlin. On the occasion of the World Cancer Day, 11 German biotech companies presented their current lead programmes in oncology in the historical lecture hall of the Charité.
