Catherine joined MC Services as a consultant in 2019. She has 20 years of experience in business journalism and science communications. As a print journalist, she has covered the EU pharmaceutical sector and international news from Berlin, and national affairs and global business from New York. She received two regional reporting awards from the U.S. Society for Professional Journalists (SPJ) and is a member of the Verein der Ausländischen Presse in Germany (VAP).
As an independent multimedia journalist in Washington, D.C. Catherine produced science programs for National Geographic, Discovery Networks, Georgetown University, the Biophysical Society, and the Smithsonian Channel.
Her work at MC Services allows her to combine this range of experience and use her skills to support innovative life science companies and their investors. She provides consulting in media training—informed by years of interviews with experts in science, national and international affairs, and business—thought leadership, message development, stakeholder engagement and media outreach. Catherine has a strong interest in helping European companies raise their international profiles, and in creating opportunities for them to demonstrate their expertise, develop their reputations and increase awareness of their innovative work.
